About Johnny
The myth behind the man
Who the Hell Am I Anyway?
For most of my life I haven’t given too much thought to what others thought of me. Like most people, I felt different than lots of ways and wanted to express it, but growing up with traditional parents with traditional values in traditional surroundings surely meant you couldn’t have fun. Or could you?
So, I tried to sneak out of the house at night hoping my father didn’t notice my hair was spiked and I was wearing pants that were way too tight with a leopard print shirt (hey give me a break it was the ’80s and yes, he noticed).
So why am I telling you all of this? It’s because it relates to what I do. And here’s how: while everyone talks about branding these days, and what your brand should be, and what your brain should say, and how people should relate to your brand, brand this, brand that (yes, you probably guessed I’m sick to death of that word and feel like an ass when I throw it around too much), few people really hep anyone else understand the fact that you should not be afraid to be who you are, to be noticed, and or be afraid…
Of anything.
The only thing you should be afraid of is being boring. Or being like everyone else; average, lukewarm, vanilla etc. And if you are boring (I admit it,we are all sometimes), you don’t want your image to reflect that. It’s a fate worse than death.
So, my job is to help you color yourself, get noticed, be different, be unafraid. Remember that if you’re getting any attention, it’s good. Trust me, it’s true.
If you think you’re putting yourself “too far out there” with your image, your branding, or even your personal Mojo, just remember this; almost no one really cares. People have seen it all. They’re jaded. If you aim to be like everyone else and do whatever else is doing, no one will see you, notice you, or care about you. You’ll sink without a trace, not to mention waste a lot of marketing dollars and a whole lot of time. But there is way up and out.
People at the business end of your marketing efforts will always have much less of a reaction to the “You” that is put out there then you believe they will.
So reinvent yourself, Make Your Mark, put it out there and make it count.
Are you ready to have some fun? Give me a shout!
Let’s Work TogetherFrom first email to finished files
No mystery, no bloated agency process. Its just you and me.
Here’s exactly what working with me looks like.
Discovery call
We talk for 20-30 minutes about your business, what you need, and what success looks like. No pitch deck, just a conversation. This is also where we figure out if we’re a good fit for each other — which matters.
Proposal and quote
I’ll send you a clear outline of the scope, the deliverables, the timeline, and the price. No guessing. No line items you don’t understand. If something’s off, we talk about it before anything starts.
Concepts and direction
I’ll come back with initial concepts — usually 2 to 3 directions — and we’ll pick the one that fits. This is where you get to have opinions and I get to explain why I made the choices I made.
Refinement
We dial in the chosen direction. Most projects include two rounds of revisions — plenty of room to make sure it’s right without either of us going in circles.
Final delivery
You get all the files you need in the formats you need them, plus a brief note on how to use them. No missing file formats, no “I’ll send that later.”
